Principal's Message

My name is Chris Kenroy and I am excited to introduce myself as the principal of Westwood Elementary School.  I am honored to serve the community, Westwood staff, students, and families.

This year will begin my 18th year in education. My first eight years I was a fifth-grade teacher at a school in San Antonio, Texas. I then transitioned into administration where I was a vice-principal at a Prek-5 elementary school in San Antonio for three years. Following my time in San Antonio, we moved back home to Michigan where I was hired as the principal at Westwood. This year will be my seventh year as the principal of this wonderful school.

I have two children, Addison and Ella. Addison is currently in fifth grade, and Ella is a spunky three-year-old. My wife Kristen is a physical therapist and has been practicing in that field for 13 years. For fun, we love to spend time on the lake in northern Michigan and take day trips exploring this great state.
